Week of October 25-29

Hello Trailblazer Families, 

We had some exciting days at Diamond Creek with Rock Your School Day! Students kicked off the day watching our Staff Rock Out on a pre-recorded dance that was created for students. Hats off to our Staff who learned this dance all virtually and came together one time to record! Students then had the opportunity to engage in rigorous, engaging lessons in our Neon Room, Medical Room, Campfire Area, and "Starbooks"! Hopefully you heard all of the fun details from your students at home!


We have a Village Meeting coming up this Wednesday, October 27th. We will continue to learn and review Habit #2: Know Before You Do. The new essential we are practicing is asking for help if you have a problem.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Our Parent/Teacher Conference week is coming up in November (11/15-11/19). Students have an early dismissal each day this week.  Please look below for the schedule. 

ALL Kindergarten Students attend from 8:20-11:56.
ALL Students in Grades 1-5 attend from 8:55- 12:40.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
