Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  This week we kicked off another Breakfast & Books Club for our 4th and 5th grade students. We are reading Crenshaw together and enjoying some breakfast and good conversation.  Many students are celebrating their reading goals and 40 book challenges around the building as they are surpassing their beginning of year reading goals!  Hats off to all of our AMAZING READERS!! Our 5th grade students are learning how to Bucket Drum during their music time and hopefully will have some time to perform for some of our students. I was able to listen on Friday and it was so fun to watch! They've got some great moves and music started! BINGO NIGHT - TOMORROW!! Thank you to all of our families who have purchased BINGO tickets for our Spring Fundraiser tomorrow night at Elks Lodge.  A huge thank you to all of our families who have also bought some items on our Silent Auction or donated items to be sold.  We appreciate all of your time and support!

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  This week we had an exciting author visit at Diamond Creek.  Kate David, author of McKay and the Magical Hat and Murphy and the Magical Hat visited all of our students.  Kate is a local author who lives in the Sacramento area. She did an assembly with our K-2 students and also our 3-5 students. Both assemblies inspired the young writers we have at Diamond Creek! Students were able to see the work that Kate put into her writing through many revisions to finally have a finished, published book.  Many of our students brought home some of Kate's published books! We hope you enjoy reading these at home. Our 3rd through 5th grade students have been completing practice CAASPP tests over the last few weeks as we gear up for our testing weeks ahead.  Our students will begin testing this week.  Each teacher has a testing schedule which they will share with you so that you know which days your child will specifically be testing.  We encourage our s
