Happy Friday Trailblazer families,


Thanks to our fantastic PTC, we had the most amazing assembly today with Forward BMX!  It was so fun to learn about the importance of perseverance, positivity, goal-setting and working hard to achieve our goals!  We even had some daring staff members get into the performance!


FIELD DAY IS NEXT FRIDAY, JUNE 2ND

Thank you to all of our families who have volunteered to assist with our Field Day activities.  Just a reminder, that you must be a Category 2 volunteer to participate at our Field Day events. See below in PTC News for more information on Field Day. 


ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND BINGO NIGHT

This week’s Ice Cream Social and Bingo Night was a huge success!  So many families turned out and won some great prizes for the Book Fair!  Thank you to our PTC volunteers for making this night such a wonderful evening!

PTC NEWS


 

FIELD DAY: We are getting excited for the end of the school year and that means FIELD DAY!  Field Day is June 2 and it is one of the best days of the school year where everyone gets to have fun outside with lots of games! This year to facilitate the best experience for the kids we need volunteer support.  Please remember that all volunteers need to be a category 2.  Sign up to volunteer - www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4DA5AC28ABF58-field.  Attention 4th & 5th graders parents – each 4th and 5th graders will need a field trip permission signed if you want your kids access to the exciting games and activities being offered at the park (upper grades will have more space and the park will be used this year).  If your child does not have a permission slip signed, they will not have access to the park to participate in this year’s activities. Please look for field trip permission slips coming home soon.   

 

FIRE WORKS:  Fireworks sign up is in full swing and we will be sending home a flyer for presale $10 tickets to spend at the booth – look for a flyer in back packs for more information.  Surprise – we have been told if we sell enough Mrs. Phillips might do something the kids love to celebrate. LOST and FOUND: It’s getting to be the end of the school year and you don’t want to miss out on your kid’s items. There are a lot of jackets, coats, water bottles, etc. that are waiting to return to their homes. Please stop by the front entry area to claim your items. 


It was great to see everyone at Open House! Have a nice 3-day weekend!

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
