Hello Trailblazer Families, 

We have such exciting news to share this week!! Our AMAZING students, families and PTC worked together to raise over $44,000 for our students at Diamond Creek! WOW!! That is a new record for us at our Walk-a-Thon. We appreciate all of your support with this amazing fundraiser for our students. Thank you to our WAT chairs and PTC for helping us host this special event!

We have a Village Rally coming up on Wednesday. Our students will be kicking off Habit #2: Know Before You Do. Students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or color!

DC Student News:
One of our student leadership groups help us organize and deliver our Diamond Creek News to students each week. Check out the latest version HERE! (No new edition this week from our short week last week)

Book Fair & Family Events THIS WEEK!:
Our Book Fair is open this week for ALL students during their lunch recess time. Students in grades 2-5 will also have the opportunity to shop during their library time. The Book Fair will also be open for about one hour after school and during our Family Fun Events we are hosting this week! Information regarding the book fair and our family events was sent home this past week with students as well as in a PTC email. All events will be hosted outside.

Monday, October 11th: 5-7 PM - Book Fair, Music & Cornhole!
Tuesday, October 12th: 5-7 PM - Book Fair & Pumpkin Painting (sign up required HERE)
Wednesday, October 13th: 5-7 PM - Book Fair, Music and Pizza (for sale)

ROCK YOUR SCHOOL DAY:
We are SO EXCITED to announce that on OCTOBER 21, 2021 DIAMOND CREEK will be ROCKIN OUR SCHOOL! This is a day that schools across our nation are participating in and we are so pumped to be part of this day again this year! We will be kicking off the day in a special way in each classroom followed by hours of meaningful, rigorous learning for our students. Our students will have the opportunity to visit some of our classrooms on this day that will be transformed into a glow room, medical room,"Starbooks", Campfire area and more! We will be doing lots of learning and using our environment to engage learners at high levels! More details to come - we can't wait!

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
