Hello Trailblazer Families, 

Thank you again for all of your support with our 16th Annual Walk-a-Thon! Walk-a-Thon envelopes were due today but our 99 Pledges sites will remain open through October 1st! We appreciate all of your support with this incredible fundraiser for our students.

A reminder there is no school for students this Thursday, September 30th and Friday, October 1st as our staff will be participating in Professional Development.

We will have our next Village Meeting this Wednesday, September 29th. Our meetings will be held within student's classrooms to follow all updated COVID protocols and procedures. We will be reviewing Habit #1: I am in Charge of Me along with the essentials below:

1. Be Responsible for Your Trash
2. Move Around Respectfully and Safely
3. Try To Solve Your Own Problems
4. Always Be Honest

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too!

Independent Study
RCSD has changed how we accept short-term independent study requests for students from a paper form picked up at the school to an online electronic form. Parents/guardians looking to take their student out on short-term independent study (minimum of 3 days; maximum of 14) for personal family business (not quarantine) must complete the online form. Paper forms will no longer be available at the office. However, parents requesting short-term independent study will still need to make their request with at least 5-days’ notice before taking your student out of school to ensure proper notification to their teacher(s) and providing of schoolwork. WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
