Week of March 18-22
WEEKLY NEWS
We had another great week at Diamond Creek! Our primary students were busy looking for leprechaun clues throughout the week. They were busy hunters during their recess times, looking in the grass and bark box areas for clues left behind by the leprechaun.
Our 3rd through 5th grade students are hard at work preparing for our upcoming statewide testing, CAASPP, which will begin at the end of March. Each classroom has their own individual schedule which will be communicated to you by the classroom teacher. Our students have learned so much this year, this is just one time of many for them to show that growth and learning they have accomplished so that we can continue to give them meaningful instruction.
Our next Village Rally is coming up this Wednesday, March 20th. We will kick off Habit #6: All in This Together. This will be a great habit for us to learn more about as we work hard to collaborate each day with each other, while also showing kindness and compassion.

Bus Loop Help!
The results of our Parent Survey were reviewed by our Site Council this past week. One area of concern continues to be our bus loop areas during drop off and pick up times. If anyone is interested in volunteering to help with our traffic flow and safety, please email Mrs. Garcia.
As always, please remember these important steps when picking up and dropping off students. If we can all be mindful of these steps, the flow of traffic will be more efficient and safe for our students. We have over 600 students at Diamond Creek and we want them all to be picked up and dropped off safely. We appreciate your help.
Please Remember To:
1. Pull all the way up in the bus loop areas. - These are DROP OFF zones, they are not PARKING zones. If you would like to park and get out of your car, please use the parking lot or street areas. This includes our Kindergarten students.
2. Please stay off of cell phones so that we do not have distracted drivers
3. Please drive slowly and carefully, we have students and families crossing at different areas
4. Follow the safety cone areas during the afternoon pick up time
