Week of May 7-11

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek
A HUGE Congratulations to our Diamond Creek choir who took home TWO 1st Place trophies last Saturday at their Choir Festival.  Thank you to Mrs. Dahl for all the extra work she put into preparing our students for this special day.  Congratulations to all of our students for their commitment to early morning rehearsals and hard work.

A special shout out to all of our 3rd through 5th grade students who have been working so hard on their CAASPP testing. Our students are working very hard and truly putting in their best effort.  Thank you for making sure they are well fed in the morning and have had a good rest the night before.

Finally, our 2nd grade students were hard at work this week presenting their Biography reports.  It was fun to see them dressed as their important person and delivering some great speeches to their families and classmates.

Congratulations to our Choir for two 1st Place Trophies!

CAASPP Testing
The CAASPP Testing window for our 3rd through 5th grade students will be open from April 16th through May 25th.  Each classroom teacher has an individual schedule of when their students will be testing in Math and Reading. Our 5th grade students also have a Science portion of the test. This is our California State Test that allows us to measure growth and provide instruction for areas that are not being met as well.  Please make sure your child has a good, healthy breakfast and is getting lots of sleep throughout these testing days.  Sleep and proper nutrition are very helpful in allowing our students to show their best ability on these assessments.

Run for Roseville

Congratulations to all of our students who ran in the Run4Roseville! We had many medal winners and placed 3rd overall as a building! Way to go Diamond Creek!  We recognized and celebrated all of our runners today at lunch.

Congratulations to all of our Run4Roseville Runners!
