 Happy Friday Trailblazer families,


We had a wonderful last week before Spring Break!  This week's Village Meeting focused on Empathy and reminded our Trailblazers how to make safe choices so we don’t spread our germs with others.  Thank you again to our Tawalmoto Staff Village Leaders for putting together such a fun and interactive lesson! Today our students enjoyed a Picnic Lunch because we have made it to 15,000 DOJO points!  It was so fun to see the kids gather together on their blankets and enjoy our beautiful sunny day!  Way to LEAD, Trailblazers!

SPRING BREAK IS HERE!

Just a quick reminder that school will be closed from April 1st to 11th.  We look forward to having the students return on Wednesday, April 12th!

VIP and ME GLOW DANCE is OUR FIRST WEEK BACK

VIP & ME GLOW DANCE: Join us on Friday, April 14 for this year’s spring VIP and me dance.  Flyers went home this week for details and to buy your tickets - $10.00 per student, VIP adult are free!  Buy early to guarantee the 3 free glow items.  There are two separate dances on same night in the multi-purpose room.  Grades TK, Kinder, 1st and 2nd  is at 5:00-6:30pm.  Grades 3rd, 4th and 5th grade is at 7:00-8:30pm. Please note - due to capacity limits in the multipurpose room, adult VIP is limited to “one adult” per family.

 

GUMMIES STILL NEEDED: In order to support our safe routes program and our upcoming walk to school days, we are still in need of 50 large Costco boxes of gummies to get us to the end of the school year. If you can donate, please drop them off at the main office. The kids thank you in advance!

JOIN PTC BOARD:  The PTC board is a volunteer parent collaborative group that comes together to make a different in your child’s educational and learning experience at Diamond Creek.  We have several elected positions open for the 2023-2024 school year:  Director of Communication, Director of Events and Director of Fundraising. If you are interested in joining the Diamond Creek PCT board, please submit your name to Principal Phillips no later than 3:00pm, Friday, April 21.  General Election meeting will be held on May 2 at 7:00pm. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
