Happy Friday Trailblazer families,

We began our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children traveled to 3 of our 7 common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined.  It was really fun to learn with our cross-grade level Villages today.

SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

Interested in being a part of Diamond Creek’s Site Council? We currently have 2 open positions for parent representatives.  Our School Site Council meets about 7 times throughout the school year on Thursday afternoons.  The purpose of the Council is to assist in the development of Diamond Creek’s School Site Plans, including our School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and our School Safety Plan.  Please submit a short statement that will be included on the ballot that describes who you are, how you are connected to Diamond Creek, and why you would like to be a part of the School Site Council. Please email your candidate statement to our Principal, Lisa Phillips lphillips01@rcsdk8.org by noon this Thursday, September 8th.  Elections will be held September 9th-15th if we have more than two applicants.

DROP OFF/PICK UP SAFETY…A Friendly Reminder

We are currently working with the City of Roseville and our Student Leadership to provide Student Valet Service soon to our Pick Up and Drop Off areas.  Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • When entering the Bus Loop for Drop Off or Pick Up, make sure to continue all the way to the end of the loop before stopping to unload or pick up your children.  This allows for more cars to be in the loop at the same time which should improve the flow of traffic.

  • When possible, please have your children on the passenger side of the vehicle so that they can exit onto the sidewalk and not into the street side of the bus loop.

  • When walking, please make sure to only cross the streets on the sidewalks (by the bus loop) and the crosswalks.

Thank you for your continued support and effort to help keep our Trailblazers safe.
