Week of February 21-25

Hello Trailblazer Families,

Your students have successfully completed two Trimesters of our 2021-22 school year! Our students have so much to celebrate as they have continued to persevere, give it their all, and work hard along their learning journey. Report cards will be emailed home next Friday, February 25th. Please take time to review your child's progress and celebrate their hard work with them.

A reminder there is no school on Monday, February 21st.

Wednesday, February 23rd is a minimum day for students. All 1st-5th grade students are dismissed at 2:05.

Villages:
Our next Village rally is Wednesday, March 2nd. We will be kicking off Habit #6: All In This Together. We are happy to announce that we will be able to host our Village Rally outside with all students! We can't wait to have all of our students together again to rally.

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too!

Diamond Creek Parent Survey:
An email was sent this week with our Parent Survey. Please take a few moments to fill out our Diamond Creek Parent Survey by March 2, 2022. Our Site Council will review the results of the survey on March 9th and plan for continuous improvement at Diamond Creek based on the feedback we receive. Survey is HERE

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
