Week of November 29-December 3

Hello Trailblazer Families, 

Thank you all for your time this week and joining us for parent/teacher conferences. We truly appreciate this time together and look forward to sharing about your child's learning journey. We hope you were able to hear some celebrations and also have a clear understanding of the journey your individual child is on and how we can best support your student at Diamond Creek.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We will see students back on Monday, November 29th. I am truly thankful for all of our families, staff and students at Diamond Creek. Thank you all for your support in your child's education.

Villages
Our next Village meeting is coming up after break on Wednesday, December 1st. Our meeting focus will be Habit #3: Make Priorities Matter. Students will continue to learn, discuss and practice our Essentials: Work First - Then Play. and Stand Up For What You Believe In.

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too! 

Diamond Creek Toy Drive:

We know that this has been a strange and challenging year for many.  That makes this time of year even more important.  We, here at Diamond Creek Elementary, have been so grateful to participate in a toy drive to support the Roseville Police Department for the last 16 years.  We plan to run our drive again this year from December 1st - 15th.  Please CLICK HERE to view our flyer with all of the details.

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
