November 11-15

WEEKLY NEWS
Thank you to all of our families who attended parent/teacher conferences this week.  We hope you enjoyed the time learning about your child's progress this Trimester.  Our teachers value this time they have with you to share about each student's learning journey.  As always, our teachers are available for questions or further discussion you would like to have along your child's learning journey at Diamond Creek.

Our next Village Rally is coming up this Thursday, November 14th.  We will be reviewing Habit #2: Know Before You Do.  Students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or Village color.

A reminder that there is no school for students on Monday in honor of Veteran's Day.  A Happy Veteran's Day to all of the Veterans in our community! Thank you for your service.

Girls on the Run
We will be hosting a Girls on the Run team again at Diamond Creek this year.  Girls on the Run is available to all of our girls in Grades 3-5.  Girls on the Run is a program created to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls poositively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.  We can't wait for our girls to experience this team again this year! We are still looking for one more coach to help us with Girls on the Run this year. Please email Mrs. Garcia if you are interested in learning more.
