WEEKLY NEWS

Hello Diamond Creek Families!

We hope your student(s) came home excited and pumped up about their learning on Thursday. We started off the day with Mr. Carlos and his live band playing some awesome music for us to start the day off rockin' together! You may have heard - but our staff even had a surprise dance all planned and choreographed for our students.

The rest of the day was filled with rigorous learning in our classrooms which were transformed into a medical lab, glow room and book cafe.  Check out the pictures below to see the amazing learning done throughout the day. The students were highly engaged in math and reading throughout the day.

WATCH D.O.G.S. Pizza Night!! - September 26th!! PLEASE RSVO BELOW!!
CALLING ALL OF OUR FATHERS AND FATHER FIGURES! WATCH D.O.G.S. is a National school based, community engagement organization that schools all across our country participate in each year.  Our goal of WATCH D.O.G.S. at Diamond Creek is to invite our father figures (dads, grandpas, uncles, positive male role models, etc.) on to our site and support our students and safety on campus.  We will be kicking off this amazing program on Thursday, September 26th from 5-6 PM at Diamond Creek. Join us for some pizza and information about how to get involved in this great program.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
