Week of December 11-15
Updates from our week at Diamond Creek
One of our exciting events this week included Santa's Elves visiting our first grade students! Students had written letters to the Elves who then delivered letters back to our students. Our 1st grade students were thrilled to share their writing with the Elves and even took some of their free time later on to write thank you notes to them.
Coming up this week our Choir students have been hard at work for their Holiday Concert on Tuesday evening! We look forward to hearing their beautiful music! Our 3rd grade students have also been hard at work preparing for their Holiday Play. They will be presenting to our Diamond Creek students during the day and our parents the evening of December 14th.
Over the next two weeks you may notice our staff wearing similar apparel. As a staff we started the 12 Days of Diamond Creek Cheer on Thursday with jeans and flannel day. A few of our students noticed right away that our staff were all wearing flannels! As part of our 12 Days of Holiday Cheer we will have a special surprise for students when they arrive to school on the 22nd! Happy Holidays!

Thank you for all of the toys that have been sent in for our Toy Drive. We are nearing the finish line and we are less than half way to our goal so we would love your help this week. Diamond Creek has partnered with the Roseville Police Department to help the less fortunate families in Roseville this holiday season. We are accepting new toys for boys and girls between the ages of 5-12. We are also accepting small gift cards for the older kids to places like Taco Bell, Big Spoon or even iTunes. Please send in your generous gifts by Friday, December 15th.
Box Tops
Thank you to everyone for their hard work in clipping and collecting box tops for Diamond Creek. We collected 3000 box tops over the summer and through October, which means $300 for our school! Remember families, keep clipping, saving and turning in your Box Tops. You may give them to your teacher or put them in the collection box in the office. Our goal this year is to raise $1200. We're 1/4 of the way there! The more box tops we receive, the more $$$ Diamond Creek gets! The next submission deadline is December 22. The next drawing will be held on January 1.
