What's Coming Up This Week? April 17-21
I wish you all a wonderful Spring Break! Enjoy the time with your children over this next week.  I loved seeing so many of our families at our teacher night at Chic-Fil-A. A huge thank you to our PTC for planning these evenings for our families and to our teachers for working the night at Chic-Fil-A.  I attached the Students News for your viewing pleasure again this week and also attached a video I put together which showcases our Spheros and how we are using those in classrooms. This week our TK students were painting with the Spheros along with some great help from their 5th grade buddies.  We are loving the learning opportunities these Spheros give our students to code, create, and be collaborative.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
