What's Coming Up This Week? February 6-10
What a great week we had this last week! Sammi Circuit family night, Skate Night and 4/5 Movie Night! It is great to see so many of our families participating and enjoying family outings together at these events.  Our students have been working hard to bring in their change for Pennies for Patients. As of last Monday we were over half way to our goal already! It's inspiring to read some of the kind messages and thoughts that our students are writing to loved ones, friends, or others that they know who have battled cancer.  Our students have such giving, kind hearts.

Cafeteria DJ
Our goal is to create opportunities for student voice and choice at Diamond Creek.  In order to create more of this voice and choice into our lunch periods, we would like to implement a "Cafeteria DJ" for each lunch on a daily basis.  The student that is chosen to be the Cafeteria DJ will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of genres of music (all kid appropriate) that will be played during that lunch period on that given day.  In order to get this off the ground, I am wondering if anyone has an old iPod or Phone that you are not using anymore and would like to donate to Diamond Creek.  Any iTunes donations are also welcomed to get our music list off and running!  Thank you! 

 Love & Logic Training
There will be another session of Love and Logic training beginning Monday, February 27th. Please see the flyer attached in this email for more information.

 Open House -
The Open House date for this school year will be Thursday, May 11th, 2017! Please save the date. More details to follow in upcoming months.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
