Week of March 20-24, 2023

 Happy Friday Trailblazer families,

It was a fantastic Village RALLY Day!  Thank you to the Tawalmoto Village for planning such a fun gathering!  Today we talked about Habit #6, All in this Together which falls under the E for Empathetic in our LEAD expectations.  Our essential skill focus was keeping yourself and common areas clean and germ free!   Check out this fun VIDEO, called The Big Achoo! that our Tawalmoto Leaders made! I just love when we are all together celebrating, learning, and growing together!

Today we thanked our amazing custodial staff who help keep our school clean and germ free, Mr. Andrew (evening custodian), Mr. Peter (Lead Custodian), and Ms. Olga (evening custodian).

BERNHARD MUSEUM ROUND 2

Today Mrs. Petersen’s and Mrs. Rasmussen’s classes traveled back in time to visit the Bernhard Museum.  This field trip gives our Third Grade students the opportunity to experience what life was like before electric ovens, washing machines, and video games!

THANK YOU, PTC!

I wanted to take this opportunity to give a huge shout out to our PTC and the families that donated for our Staff Potato Bar Luncheon this week!  It was such a treat to gather together and enjoy the yummy meal!  Many thanks for making all of our staff feel so loved and appreciated!

PCOE SPELLING BEE!

Congratulations to our two District finalists that represented RCSD at the County Level Spelling Bee this Wednesday, March 15th.  Liam is in 4th grade and Warner is in 5th grade!  We are so proud of you!

PARKING LOT REMINDERS

We recently have had an increase of people using our Handicapped marked spaces by the office to do a quick pick up or drop off.  Please keep our Handicapped spaces open for our families that have an official placard or license plate.

Also, one more quick reminder that our Kindergarten Loop drop off/pick up area is open to one lane only.  Please do not create a second row in the parking lot to pick up your students, this blocks the flow of traffic when people are trying to park in the lot.  Thank you for making safe choices in our parking lot to help keep our Trailblazers safe!

PET REMINDER

I know that everyone's animals are a big part of their families, yet we do have some students that may be allergic to our furry friends. Please make sure that if you have a pet that you remain on the sidewalk perimeter and not bring it onto our campus walkways. Thank you!
