Week of April 25-29

Hello Trailblazer Families,

It was a great week back with our students! We hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. Our 3rd-5th grade students begin CAASPP testing this week which is our state testing that happens in all districts in CA. Each classroom teacher will provide you with the class schedule for testing. Please make sure students are getting extra rest and eating healthy breakfasts!

We also have some fun end of the year PTC events coming up soon as well as on site events. Please check out the dates below and mark your calendars! We are excited to end the year strong as a Diamond Creek community.

Students enjoyed our final Village Meeting of the year this past week. They were able to meet with their Village teammates and reviewed Habit #7: Find Your Balance. We discussed and practiced ways we can be our best self like showing persistence, celebrating others, failing and trying again, and knowing when to say no. We will have one final All School Rally for the year on May 4th!

OPEN HOUSE - May 11th, 2022 - SAVE THE DATE!

Our Open House date is May 11th from 5:30-7:00. We are excited to welcome all of our families back to Open House this year as our students will have many amazing things to show you from their school year. This is also a minimum day for students. Students are dismissed at 2:05.

Just added this year a FIREWORKS Coordinator & committee!!


Diamond Creek PTC is excited to share a huge fundraising effort, perhaps the biggest one ever!  Phantom Fireworks selects 10 schools/nonprofits each year in a lottery to raise money through working the fireworks stands.  Diamond Creek won the lottery this year!  


Previous fundraisers have earned anywhere from $20,000-$40,000! We need your help to make this effort a success.  


Join the fireworks committee! Seeking volunteers to serve as the fireworks Coordinator & committee.  Working alongside our dedicated Phantom fireworks account manager, oversee sign-ups, coordinate restocking fireworks when needed, connect with the account manager on questions, etc.

Join the Diamond Creek Elementary School PTC with our assistance for helping with field trip transportation & costs, assembly's, activities, events, fundraisers, playground equipment, teacher expenses & needs, overall all the fun for the staff, teachers & KIDS & so much more!!!


Just this year our DC PTC purchased a brand new copy machine for our school. Updating & helping all our teachers & ultimately our kids in class.

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
