Hello Trailblazer Families,  It's hard to believe today marks the end of Trimester #1 for our students. Please take time to celebrate all of our students' hard work this Trimester. It's been such a celebration to have our students back on campus and in full-time capacity this year. Thank you for helping keep our students safe and healthy so they can remain in school. Report cards will be emailed home November 12th and a reminder that Monday, November 1st there is no school for students. We had a Village Meeting this past Wednesday, October 27th. Students practiced scenarios in which they had a problem that they needed to solve. We discussed different resources we could use to solve our problems and who to go to for help. We will continue to focus on the following Essentials and Habit #2: Know Before You Do. Hello Trailblazer Families,  We had some exciting days at Diamond Creek with Rock Your School Day! Students kicked off the day watching our Staff Rock Out on a pre-recorded dance that was created for students. Hats off to our Staff who learned this dance all virtually and came together one time to record! Students then had the opportunity to engage in rigorous, engaging lessons in our Neon Room, Medical Room, Campfire Area, and "Starbooks"!   Hello Trailblazer Families,  Wow! What a fun week at Diamond Creek. Thank you to all of our AMAZING volunteers and PTC for hosting an incredible Book Fair for our students along with some very fun Family Fun Events. Students enjoyed shopping for new books, painting pumpkins, playing games and enjoying the outdoors together! We appreciate all of you that helped make this happen for our DC families. THIS THURSDAY - 10/21 - is ROCK YOUR SCHOOL DAY!! Our students will be engaged in a variety of learning experiences with some added fun! We can't wait for Thursday. Students are encouraged to wear their Rock Star gear if they'd like to! At our Village Rally this week our students reviewed Habit #2: Know Before You Do. Hello Trailblazer Families,  We have such exciting news to share this week!! Our AMAZING students, families and PTC worked together to raise over $44,000 for our students at Diamond Creek! WOW!! That is a new record for us at our Walk-a-Thon. We appreciate all of your support with this amazing fundraiser for our students. Thank you to our WAT chairs and PTC for helping us host this special event! We have a Village Rally coming up on Wednesday. Our students will be kicking off Habit #2: Know Before You Do. Hello Trailblazer Families,  We hope you're enjoying a long weekend together! Our staff have been busy learning together, talking data and even having some fun with literacy lanterns over the last few days. We look forward to kicking off the week together on Monday! We had a Village meeting on Wednesday where our students discussed and practiced Habit #1: I'm in Charge of Me. Our students are definitely working on Always Being Honest, even when it's very hard, which is one of our focus essentials right now!
