Week of February 22-26

Hello Trailblazer Families,

We had another great week of learning at Diamond Creek and in our Champions Academy.  We have a big week coming up with our parent/teacher conferences.  Parent/teacher conferences are an extremely meaningful time for our teachers to discuss your child's learning journey with you. We look forward to spending time together this week via Zoom highlighting your child's progress this year.   

Today also marks the end of Trimester #2.  We have so much to celebrate as we brought students back on to campus this Trimester for five days a week while also continuing our online school journey with our Champions Academy.  Report cards are being emailed to families today and a paper copy is also coming home with your child.  Please take time to celebrate your child's hard work this Trimester and the progress they have made! 

Due to parent/teacher conferences, we have a modified schedule this week.  TK and Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:30 and 1st through 5th grade students will be dismissed at 11:50.  Please see the schedule attached HERE.  This schedule is in effect Monday through Friday, February 22nd-26th.  Thank you

Villages Update

This week, students will participate in our next virtual Village Rally. Students will be reviewing and learning more about Habit #6: All in This Together.  Students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or color!

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
