We hope you are enjoying the four day weekend with your families! Our teachers have been hard at work learning the last few days.  A reminder that this week is our week of parent/teacher conferences. Our teachers are excited to meet with you and share what your child has been hard at work on this semester and the progress they have had in various areas.   Students are dismissed early this week, Monday through Friday. Please refer to the schedule listed below.

 Halloween Candy Buy Back - November 5th & 6th

Are you ready to get rid of the extra sugar around the house? We have a solution for you! We are doing our Candy Buy Back on Monday, November 5th and Tuesday, November 6th. Any candy that you do not want, please bring in to Diamond Creek Monday or Tuesday this week. Our Student Leadership fundraising team will then take that candy and donate it to Rockville Smiles Dentistry and we will get paid $1 per pound of candy. If Diamond Creek is the school that collects the most we will get $2 per pound! The money that is earned will then be donated to the Make A Wish foundation to help make someone's dream come true.

W.A.T.C.H. DOGS - 
We have officially kicked off W.A.T.C.H. DOGS for the 2nd year at Diamond Creek. Any Dads and Father Figures that would like to volunteer in our school for day, we would love to have you helping our teachers and helping us with school safety.  Information on W.A.T.C.H. Dogs is linked below as well as a sign up for open days!

Village Meeting & Rally Dates
Click HERE for all of our Village Rally and Meeting dates for the 2018-19 school year.  Our Meetings and Rallys occur on Wednesdays and are from 11:00-11:30.  On these days students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or their Village color.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
