WEEKLY NEWS

Thank you to all of our families who took time to meet with teachers this week to discuss your child's progress this year. We truly appreciate your time as we continue on this learning journey together.  Conferences are such a great time for our teachers to communicate where your child is on their learning journey, share strengths, goal areas and next steps.  We thank you for your time and support.

We also appreciate all of your help collecting Halloween candy and we hope it helped you out at home as well!! Diamond Creek was the top candy collector so instead of receiving $1 per pound to be donated to Make a Wish, we will be able to donate $2 per pound.  THANK YOU!!

On Wednesday, November 14th we will have our next Village Rally as a whole school! Your child is encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or color.  We will begin work on Habit #2: Know Before You Do It which includes having a plan, setting goals and placing importance on our work inside and outside of school.

W.A.T.C.H. DOGS - 
We have officially kicked off W.A.T.C.H. DOGS for the 2nd year at Diamond Creek. Any Dads and Father Figures that would like to volunteer in our school for day, we would love to have you helping our teachers and helping us with school safety.  Information on W.A.T.C.H. Dogs is linked below as well as a sign up for open days!

Village Meeting & Rally Dates
Click HERE for all of our Village Rally and Meeting dates for the 2018-19 school year.  Our Meetings and Rallys occur on Wednesdays and are from 11:00-11:30.  On these days students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or their Village color.

WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope week #3 of Distance Learning went well for you.  Our weekly class Zoom meetings are definitely a highlight for our teachers and staff. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
