What's Coming Up This Week? January 30-February 3
This week we had fun with Sammi Circuit as he completed his second circuit with our students.  Our students are learning to think positively about themselves and encourage their peers.  You may hear them say things like, "You Got This!" or "You are Awesome".  The students love this time with Sammi and have fun being active and positive with each other.  Sammi will be back this Tuesday evening for Sammi Circuit Family Night at 6:00 PM.  We hope to see you there!

Students also had fun using our new Spheros this week which allow students the opportunity to collaborate, problem solve and dive into coding.  Check out our Twitter page for some pictures from our coding experiences.

Love & Logic Training
There will be another session of Love and Logic training beginning Monday, February 27th. Please see the flyer attached in this email for more information.

 Sammi Circuit Family Night - Tuesday, January 31st 6:00-7:00 PM @ Diamond Creek
Sammi's circuit combines upbeat music, lighting effects, and exercises that can be custom tailored to any age or ability level.  Dress in comfortable shoes and clothes and bring some water! The form was sent in an email on January 25th.  Please RSVP as space is limited.

 Girls on the Run - REGISTRATION STARTS MONDAY, JANUARY 23RD
I am excited to let you know that we will be hosting a Girls on the Run team this year at Diamond Creek for our 3rd-5th grade girls.  This team will meet twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) for 1.5 hours each time from 3:15-4:45.

Girls on the Run is a place where girls learn that they can.  No limits. No constraints.  Only opportunity to be remarkable.  Twice a week for 12 weeks, your girls will learn that her worth comes from within and that she can have an impact on the world around her.  At the end of the season, she will be emotionally and physically prepared to complete a 5k event.

Season begins week of February 13th.  Scholarships available for families in need.  Spaces are limited, so don’t delay! Online registration is available January 23rd through February 17th.

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
