Happy Friday Trailblazer families,


We had a blast at our Field Day Activities today!  Thank you to all of our volunteers and our fabulous PTC for putting it all together!  We appreciate it so much!


20,000 VILLAGE DOJO POINTS-WE DID IT!

This week our school reached our goal of 20,000 Village DOJO Points and we celebrated by doing a playground switch up and having a recess Bubble Party!  We are so proud of the combined effort of our 650 students that earned those Village DOJO Points by being fantastic Listeners, incredibly Empathetic, wonderfully Accountable and amazingly Disciplined this year!  Way to LEAD, Trailblazers!  


5TH GRADE LAST DAY EVENTS-SEND OFF PARADE AND SEND OFF PARTY

Next Tuesday is a big day for our 5th Graders!  To help decrease congestion in the office on the last day of school we are asking all 5th grade family members who plan to attend the Send Off Parade and/or Party to complete THIS form so badges can be prepped and ready to go. This form must be completed by June 2nd if you plan to attend either of these memorable events. 


Two other SUPER IMPORTANT items to remember are:

1-You MUST bring a photo ID when you check-in. Without it, you will not be allowed to attend either event.


2-In order to attend the Send Off Party you MUST BE Category 2 cleared which means that you have been fingerprinted through LiveScan and have an up to date TB test on file.

THANK YOU:  As this school year is coming to an end, the PTC would like to thank everyone that volunteered, donated and cheered your student on during another fun filled school year.  We had a lot of great successes with the first annual fireworks booth, jog-a-thon, book fair(s), movie nights, glow dance, today’s field day and so much more.  Next year is going to be another great year and we hope that you have a fun and safe summer! See you next school year.

 

FIREWORKS:  Fireworks sign up is in full swing and a flyer for presale $10 tickets to spend at the booth was sent home – today is the deadline for pre-sale tickets – the flyer in back packs include more information.  Surprise! LOST and FOUND: It’s getting to be the end of the school year and you don’t want to miss out on your kid’s items. There are a lot of jackets, coats, water bottles, etc. that are waiting to return to their homes. Please stop by the front entry area to claim your items.  You have three days left to claim before they are going to be donated.

Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Thank you to all of our parents for taking time to meet with your child's teacher this week.  Our teachers appreciate this face to face meeting time with you.  We are all a team working together to help each child at Diamond Creek be successful and your support is such an important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you for your time and support! On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have our local Fire Department visit us and lead us through a fire safety assembly.  The students learned what to do in the case of a fire and were able to see the transformation that happens when our firefighters put on all of their gear.  On Wednesday, we had a building wide "READING DRILL".  We all stopped, dropped and read! It was a delight to see students throughout our whole building reading for 15 minutes all together.  I had so many students afterwards tell me they wished it was longer and ask if we could do that everyday! Week of September 12-16, 2022

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students.
