Week of October 3-7, 2022

  9/30/2022   Hello Trailblazer families,   Happy last day of September!  We had our first Lockdown drill today.  The staff and students did an amazing job getting to safe places in their classrooms.  This week we also had our school windows that do not have blinds tinted and our new 6 foot perimeter fencing work is scheduled to be completed in the next few months.     October is upon us and we have so many awesome activities planned this Month!  Make sure to read the PTC News for information on our upcoming Fall Festival.  I hope to see all the 3rd-5th grade families at Movie Night tonight!    ADULT ENGLISH CLASSES AVAILABLE The Roseville Adult School, with Roseville Joint Union High School District, is offering free day and evening English classes for adults wishing to learn English. Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   Happy last week of September!  I feel like we just finished up August and now October is just a week away!  Time sure flies by when we’re having fun at Diamond Creek!   We had our 2nd Village Rally today led by our Honhulu village.  We learned that “I’m in charge of me!” which ties into our letter A for Accountable in LEAD.  Students watched skits and some Village representatives participated in a Minute to Win It game.  We ended the rally by announcing our Sticker Contest Winner…see below for more information.   PBIS/VILLAGE STICKER CONTEST WINNER Thank you to all of the amazing student entries that we received for our 1st PBIS/VILLAGE Sticker Contest.  The PBIS/Village Team narrowed down the over 400 entries to a final four, then our Diamond Creek Staff voted and selected Crimson Funderburgh’s design shown below.  We are so proud of everyone who entered and look forward to bringing this back again n...

  9/9/2022   Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We completed our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children have now traveled to all 7 of our common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined. Due to the smoke, we had them meet in their Village Meeting Spot and the presenters traveled to the students. Happy Friday Trailblazer families,   We began our LEAD Passport adventure today.  Your children traveled to 3 of our 7 common areas to learn what it looks like to be great Listeners, be Empathetic, be Accountable and how to be Disciplined.  It was really fun to learn with our cross-grade level Villages today.     SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL Interested in being a part of Diamond Creek’s Site Council? We currently have 2 open positions for parent representatives.  Our School Site Council meets about 7 times throughout the school year on Thursday afternoons.  The purpose of the Council is to assist in the development of Diamond Creek’s School Site Plans, including our School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and our School Safety Plan.  Please submit a short statement that will be included on the ballot that describes who you are, how you are connected to Diamond Creek, and why you would like to be a part of the School Site Council.
