Week of February 10-14

WEEKLY NEWS
This past week we counted up the pennies and coins after our second week of collecting for Pennies for Patients and after two weeks our total was almost $8,000!! Our goal is $10,000 to donate towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We will be completing our final count after today and we will announce the grand total next week to our students.  Thank you for all of your support!

This week we had a Village Meeting on Thursday. We reviewed Habit #4: I am Mindful of Others and our new Essential: When you win, do not brag. When you lose, do not show anger.  Students brainstormed ways to show kindness around our school, community and at home. We talked about how our body language and tone of voice have impact on others and can sometimes impact in a way that we did not intend if we are not mindful.  Students created a bookmark which listed ways they can show kindness.   Our hope is that you notice the kindness your students are spreading throughout our community and in our homes.

A reminder there is NO SCHOOL Monday, February 10th or Monday, February 17th due to holidays.

If you have attended one of our events before, the information will be very similar, but you are still welcome to attend with your child(ren).

RCSD LCAP Parent Survey
The Roseville City School District (RCSD) is asking stakeholders to participate in an annual Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the educational environment within RCSD that contributes to maximizing learning for every one of our students. The primary emphasis of this survey resides on the conditions of learning, pupil achievement outcomes, student and parent engagement, and pupil safety. The collective results from this anonymous survey will be shared with a variety of groups that guide local priority development, actions, and services on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). We value each respondent, and it is vital that we get a representative sample from our community.

We are asking you to click on the link provided and complete the relevant survey. Please choose English or Spanish as you begin the survey LCAP Parent Survey.

Your responses will help guide the funding priorities and initiatives for the RCSD Board of Education. Thank you for your participation in this process; your time and attention to the survey are appreciated.
