Hello Trailblazer Families,  We wish you a wonderful winter break with your family.  We hope our students enjoy their days off and find many happy memories throughout this time. Students are off through January 4th and will return on January 5th. We had a Village Rally this past week.  Our students began learning and reviewing Habit #4: I am Mindful of Others. The essentials we are focusing on right now are being mindful of body language and tone of voice as well as responding to others respectfully.  We talked about how our body language, eye contact, and tone of voice play a role in how others perceive us and our responses.  Since we are wearing masks so much these days, we talked about waving to others as a greeting because people can't always see our smiles behind our masks.   Linked below are the 7 Habits we discuss at Diamond Creek. The last few weeks I have enjoyed spending time with our students both on site and in Champions through a Snacks & Stories book club via Zoom. We will kick off another book club in February/March so stay tuned for that as well! Please read below for important information regarding our Free/Reduced Meal program and funding.   Hello Trailblazer Families,  We hope you and your families had a nice break and a Happy Thanksgiving. Students are going strong with their learning on site and in our Champions Academy. Our students are doing an incredible job on site of wearing masks, following our procedures and exhibiting our 7 Habits. I am so proud of them and their hard work! We had a Village Meeting on Thursday within our own classrooms. Our students reviewed Habit #3: Make Priorities Matter and did some fun activities. Students did an activity in which they completed some work very fast and then took time to slow down and put in their best effort. We learned it's often times best to slow down and do our best the first time!! Linked below are the 7 Habits we discuss at Diamond Creek. Over the school year, we will spend time each month reviewing one of the 7 Habits along with the essentials that align with each Habit. Feel free to print and use these posters at home as well.   Hello Trailblazer Families,  We hope you and your families have a nice break and a Happy Thanksgiving. We know breaks and holidays are different this year, but we wish you all the happiness in the small moments. Thank you for all of your support throughout the last few weeks as we brought students back on to campus. We appreciate you keeping students home when they are ill and helping us stay in school. Enjoy the break! After break, we will have our next Village Meeting on Thursday, December 3rd. Our students will continue to review Habit #3: Make Priorities Matter and do some fun activities within their own classrooms. Congratulations to our Makkiti Village who earned lunch with me this week from being our top October Dojo winner! Students earn dojo points by modeling our habits and essentials. It was so great to see our Makkiti students and it was such a fun way for me to be able to see our Champions students as well! Linked below are the 7 Habits we discuss at Diamond C...
