WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope your child(ren) had a great week at Diamond Creek! We had more fun learning experiences in our medical room and glow room with reading, writing and math! We had sentence surgery going on, glow word problems and more! It's hard to believe we are already at the midway point of Trimester #1.  Progress Reports will be coming home today.  If you have questions or concerns related to the progress reports, our classroom teachers are more than happy to answer those questions or meet with you for further discussion. Our next Village Rally is coming up this Thursday, October 3rd! We will be reviewing Habit #1: I'm in Charge of Me along with a few of our essentials.  Students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or color! WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope your student(s) came home excited and pumped up about their learning on Thursday. We started off the day with Mr. Carlos and his live band playing some awesome music for us to start the day off rockin' together! You may have heard - but our staff even had a surprise dance all planned and choreographed for our students. The rest of the day was filled with rigorous learning in our classrooms which were transformed into a medical lab, glow room and book cafe.  Check out the pictures below to see the amazing learning done throughout the day. WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! Our students had a wonderful day at our annual Walk-a-Thon today! Students were walking 30, 40 and even 50 plus laps! There was dancing, high fives and lots of cheering! A huge thank you to Traci Petrie, Jessica Weston and Mrs. Sydow along with all of our volunteers who helped us make this event a success for our students and staff.  We truly appreciate your support. There's still time to collect Walk-a-Thon donations!  Envelopes are due Thursday, September 19th and 99 Pledges will be open through September 26th! THIS THURSDAY is ROCK YOUR SCHOOL DAY at Diamond Creek. WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We had our first Village Meeting this week! Students were able to meet and greet students in their Village.  We learned new names, welcomed new teammates to our Villages and practiced our Village chants! We are working very hard on giving eyeballs and handshakes and responding to people when they ask us questions.  Hopefully you are noticing these behaviors at home as well! Our 15th Annual Walk-a-Thon is THIS WEEK!! THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th!! Thank you all for your support at home with this fundraiser.   In the past our Walk-a-Thon has helped us buy Chromebook Carts, iPads and outfit every classroom at Diamond Creek with Apple TVs and 72 inch TVs for projection.  Last year, our Walk-a-Thon also helped us launch our Villages system building wide and we are so excited to continue this great work at Diamond Creek!  Thank you for your support.
