Week of May 15-19

What's Coming Up This Week? May 15-19
Thank you to all of our families who came out for Open House and the Art Show last night. It was a great evening with music, art and smiling students! It was a joy to celebrate all of our students and teachers and their hard work this year.  Thank you to Mr. Carlos and his band for providing some great entertainment!

We also had a successful spring fundraiser last weekend and raised over $13,000 for our students and teachers and Diamond Creek. A huge thank you to our Spring fundraiser committee that helped put this amazing evening together for our families. Thank you for all of your support! We are excited for the many opportunities our students will have at Diamond Creek with your help.

Good Luck to our Girls on the Run team this weekend! They will all run in a 5K to conclude the 3 month program they have completed.  We had one Girls on the Run team this year and it was a huge success! Our girls not only had the opportunity to run together but they learned many meaningful lessons along the way about positive self talk, positive self esteem and feeling good about who they are!  A huge thank you to our parent volunteers, Kendall Petersen and Kelly O'Keefe, who volunteered to coach our team this year.

WATCH D.O.G.S.
During the 2017-18 school year, Diamond Creek will be implementing a program called WATCH D.O.G.S.  This program is intended to bring our fathers and grandfathers into our classrooms to support education and safety.  Please check out the website linked below for more information.  We are looking for one of our fathers to be our "Top DOG" to help us organize this great program.  Please email Ms. Turry if you are interested in being the Top Dog.  We are still looking for a Top Dog to be able to kick off this program!
