What's Coming Up This Week? May 1-5 Some of our 3rd-5th graders began their CAASPP testing this week.  It was a great first week of testing. While I was in classrooms, students were taking their time, quiet and doing their best! Thank you for making sure they have enough sleep, a healthy breakfast and some extra snacks! We appreciate your support during this testing time frame.  Our Spring Fundraiser is quickly approaching this Saturday, May 6th.  If you haven't bought tickets, we still have some available to buy on our PTC website, after school or in our front office.  All proceeds will go directly back into the classrooms of our students.  We appreciate all of your support.  Make sure to check out the Silent Auction online as well which closes Sunday at 10:00 PM.  There are so many great adventures, art work, and activities to bid on for the family. What's Coming Up This Week? April 24-28 I hope all of our Diamond Creek families had a wonderful Spring Break! It was great to have the students back in our classrooms this week.  This week begins our CAASPP testing for all of our 3rd through 5th grade students.  Students will take a test in ELA and Math throughout the next four weeks. Our 5th grade students will also take a Science test.  Students are not testing all day, every day, but we have broken the assessments into 60-90 minute sessions per day.  Please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast, gets lots of sleep and is ready to give their best on each of these testing days.  We work hard to make sure our testing environment is quiet, safe, and nurturing for all of our students.   Thank you for your support at home as well. What's Coming Up This Week? April 17-21 I wish you all a wonderful Spring Break! Enjoy the time with your children over this next week.  I loved seeing so many of our families at our teacher night at Chic-Fil-A. A huge thank you to our PTC for planning these evenings for our families and to our teachers for working the night at Chic-Fil-A.  I attached the Students News for your viewing pleasure again this week and also attached a video I put together which showcases our Spheros and how we are using those in classrooms. This week our TK students were painting with the Spheros along with some great help from their 5th grade buddies.  We are loving the learning opportunities these Spheros give our students to code, create, and be collaborative.
