WEEKLY NEWS We had a great first week back after Spring Break! We hope you and your families had a wonderful week off together and enjoyed some family fun time.  Our 3rd through 5th grade students continued on with their statewide CAASPP testing.  They are definitely taking their time and trying their best! Thank you for helping them get lots of sleep at night and healthy breakfasts in the morning. We had a Village Rally this last week and introduced our last habit, Habit #7: Find Your Balance .  We talked about being the best we can be and living our best life.  Our very own teacher, Mr. Lemos, also delivered a positive message about overcoming obstacles to be the best you can be and how some very special teachers had a strong, positive influence in his life. WEEKLY NEWS This week our final two 3rd grade classes visited the Bernhard Museum. They came back tired with many highlights to share! Our Village Meeting was this week. In our Villages we discussed  Habit #6: All in This Together.     Students discussed activities that are easier to do in a team vs. alone.  We came up with a large list that ranged from sports like basketball, soccer, baseball to building structures in our classroom and solving math problems.  We discussed how much better we are together when we help and lift others up. Our 5th grade students experienced another highlight of 5th grade this week - the sheep heart dissection! Students were highly engaged in this activity and were guided through the various parts of the heart and their functions. It was an amazing hands on learning experience for our students.
