WEEKLY NEWS Hello Diamond Creek Families! We hope you're having a wonderful December with family and friends. A reminder that Friday is a minimum day, students will be dismissed at 2:05. This week we had our Village Rally.  Our focus this month is Habit #3: Make Priorities Matter.  At our rally we talked about working before we play.  We reviewed the following key points of Habit 3: 1. I do the things that I have to do before I do the things that I want to do 2. I stay focused on what I'm doing.  I try to minimize distractions and regroup if I get off task. 3. I spend my time on the things that are most important. These are such great lessons for our students and good reminders for us as adults! We updated our Habits posters to show our essentials and link with our village names.  The posters are attached below, feel free to use in your homes as well. WEEKLY NEWS Happy December Diamond Creek Families! Our students are doing an amazing job of staying focused on their goals and working hard in their classrooms! A big congratulations to our choir students who performed for our parents on Tuesday evening. They sounded beautiful! Thank you to Mrs. Dahl who spends hours planning, rehearsing, and helping our students tap into their passions and strengths in music.  We are very thankful for all of her work with our students.  Our choir students will be performing for all of our students on the morning of December 21st. We can't wait! Make sure to check out our student goals that are hanging around the school.   Students worked hard last week to write academic goals for themselves. These are displayed in our MPR and around the building.  Our next Village Rally is coming up this Wednesday, December 12th! We encourage students to wear their Village T-shirt or color.
