WEEKLY NEWS It was another great week together of learning at Diamond Creek! Our students are working hard to finish the Trimester strong! It's amazing to observe the growth as I am walking through classrooms and watching our writers, readers and math wizards take strides forward.  This Wednesday will mark the end of Trimester #1.  Our parent/teacher conference week is the following week, November 5th through 9th.  Teachers have been in communication with you regarding conferences in order to get those scheduled.  Students will be dismissed early this week.  Please look below for the conference week dismissal schedule. I'm sure you feel the excitement at home as we do as well at school with the anticipation of Halloween.  Just a friendly reminder that we do not allow students to wear costumes to school on Halloween.   Our classrooms will enjoy some time together celebrating fall, but we ask that costumes be saved for the evening time at home....

WEEKLY NEWS It's been an exciting week at Diamond Creek leading up to our Fall Festival on Friday.  Our classrooms have some amazing pumpkins to share and our students have been pumped about visiting the Book Fair to find new books to read.  Our 3rd grade students visited the Maidu Museum this week and came back excited to share about their learning and adventures.  Our 2nd through 5th grade students will be taking the iReady diagnostic for the 2nd time this year anytime from now through October 31st. This is a diagnostic assessment that allows us to measure progress in ELA and Math for each student and plan intervention and instruction which is appropriate to each student's individual needs.  On Wednesday, we will have our next Village meeting.  Our meeting focus will also be on Habit #1: I'm in Charge of Me which we kicked off at our rally a few weeks ago.  Students have been working hard to remember our Essential: Be Responsible for Your Trash....
