Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  We wish you a wonderful Spring Break with family and friends. The weather looks like it's going to be beautiful which is much needed for our students! We can feel the energy after having inside recess throughout the week! It's been amazing walking through classrooms and observing our students writing individual goals for themselves related to their learning. We have many students who set iReady goals in 2nd through 5th grade and worked hard to crush their goals.  First grade students are setting goals for their Lexia level and their reading levels and are working hard to reach those goals.  A reminder that students are not in school March 26-30 and April 2nd.  Students return to school on Tuesday, April 3rd.  We wish you a wonderful Spring Break! Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  A reminder that report cards come home with students today. Please take time to review this with your student and celebrate their learning and growth this trimester.  They have worked very hard! Our 5th grade students enjoyed a wonderful field trip to Sacramento's Sophia Center last Friday to see the performance of Gandhi.  The students came back excited and talking about their experience. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Our students had a special safety assembly with Officer Garcez today.  He spoke to us about safety when walking and biking to school.  We talked about many important safety tips together!  Thank you Officer Garcez! Today marks the end of Trimester #2.  Report cards will be sent home on Friday, March 16th and Wednesday, March 14th is a minimum day, students will be dismissed at 2:05. Our students have worked so hard this semester. Please take time to celebrate their growth and accomplishments. Updates from our week at Diamond Creek  Today was Read Across America Day and also Dr. Seuss' birthday! Many of our students participated in reading activities throughout the day and throughout the week to celebrate Dr. Seuss and our love for reading! Our first grade students even tried some green eggs and ham which I heard was pretty tasty for some of them!  We also did a school wide reading drill today in which we all Stopped, Dropped and Read. It has been an exciting day and week of reading!
