Villages

Students completed our next Village Rally in classrooms this past week. We kicked off and reviewed Habit #4: I am Mindful of Others. Our new essential we are focusing on is Greet Visitors and Make Them Feel Welcome. Students brainstormed and practiced different ways of greeting others. This is a great essential for our students to practice at home and in our community as well!

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too! 

Hearing & Vision Screening

The Hearing and Vision Screening van will be here on January 10th for our Diamond Creek students. All students in Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th grade are screened as a state mandate. This year our 3rd grade students are also being screened since they were not tested last year.

Registration (This Registration Information was sent from RCSD on 12/16)

 Registration for our 2022-23 school year will be opening for priority registration beginning on Monday, January 3, 2022, and will close on Friday, January 28, 2022. This registration will be for all new and returning students, including those individuals seeking an inter or intra-district transfer and those wanting to enroll their student(s) into the Roseville Virtual Academy. Please be on the lookout for an email from the district with a link to our online registration process no later than January 2, 2022. 

 

Please note the following schools have been closed to transfers for the 2022-23 school year due to growth, projected growth, and overflow challenges as new homes are occupied.

• Junction Elementary
• Orchard Ranch Elementary
• Riego Creek Elementary
• Fiddyment Farm Elementary
• Diamond Creek Elementary
• Blue Oaks Elementary

No new intradistrict or interdistrict transfer will be accepted in the schools listed above. Siblings of students currently attending in 2021-22, and will continue to attend one of the above schools during the 2022-23 school year, may request a transfer during the priority window and will be considered on a space-available basis.

FOR CURRENT 5TH GRADE STUDENTS ONLY - Placement of 6th-grade students is based on your address and not the school your student is currently attending. Use the link provided here to be shown your students currently assigned Middle School for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

As a reminder, all students, even those who are returning back to their same school MUST complete the online registration process. Your attention to this is greatly appreciated and helps RCSD know how to best prepare to meet and accommodate all our students' needs. We hope you have a wonderful Winter Break!

Open Site Council Position - 2021-22 School Year

We are currently taking applications for our Site Council. One of the most important functions in California’s public schools is the organization of a School Site Council.This is a mandated program where parents are elected to represent fellow parents in making decisions with the school staff on school wide topics.Issues such as school safety, parking, use of instructional aides, curricular programs being considered for adoption, and determining how some school improvement activities occur are important topics usually discussed by a Site Council.In a sense, the Council is like a rudder of a ship helping to point out the ship’s direction.

We currently have one opening for a parent candidate.Our bylaws require a 150 word narrative statement stating your reason for wanting to be a member of the School Site Council (SSC). Please email Mrs. Garcia if you are interested in serving on our Site Council.
