Week of December 13-17

Hello Trailblazer Families,

Our 4th and 5th grade students have been hard at work taking the iReady diagnostic this past week. The rest of our students will take this diagnostic after winter break. The iReady diagnostic is taken three times throughout the year. We as a staff use the data from this diagnostic to plan intervention and extension for our students. The diagnostic gives us detailed data on the areas that students have mastered and next steps for them in their learning journey. Your child's teacher will share the results of this diagnostic with you when it's complete in late January.

A reminder that Friday, December 17th is an early dismissal. All 1st through 5th grade students are dismissed at 2:05.

Diamond Creek Toy Drive: HAPPENING NOW!! FINAL DAYS!

We know that this has been a strange and challenging year for many.  That makes this time of year even more important.  We, here at Diamond Creek Elementary, have been so grateful to participate in a toy drive to support the Roseville Police Department for the last 16 years.  We plan to run our drive again this year from December 1st - 15th.  Please CLICK HERE to view our flyer with all of the details.

Thank you for considering supporting the kids of Roseville and our local Police Department.

Happy Holidays,

Diamond Creek Leadership

Open Site Council Position - 2021-22 School Year

We are currently taking applications for our Site Council. One of the most important functions in California’s public schools is the organization of a School Site Council. This is a mandated program where parents are elected to represent fellow parents in making decisions with the school staff on school wide topics.Issues such as school safety, parking, use of instructional aides, curricular programs being considered for adoption, and determining how some school improvement activities occur are important topics usually discussed by a Site Council. In a sense, the Council is like a rudder of a ship helping to point out the ship’s direction.

We currently have one opening for a parent candidate. Our bylaws require a 150 word narrative statement stating your reason for wanting to be a member of the School Site Council (SSC). Please email Mrs. Garcia if you are interested in serving on our Site Council.

Creation Time Fun!

It's cold outside and the holidays are approaching! Please help us make this teacher & staff luncheon a warm and yummy one. Our Holiday Teacher Luncheon is on Monday, December 13th.
