Week of January 31-February 4

Hello Trailblazer Families, We had a great week at Diamond Creek learning and kicking off Pennies for Patients! Each class has a site that students can help raise money that will go towards helping fight childhood cancer. We appreciate all of your support in this community fundraiser. Villages We had a Village Rally this past week. We reviewed and kicked off Habit #5: Listen & Learn. Our focus essential is, If someone bumps into you, say excuse me, even if it was not your fault. We also discussed and practiced listening with our whole body and what that looks like and sounds like at school, at home, and in our community. Students had the opportunity to chalk up our campus with ways they can be caring and helpful. Hello Trailblazer Families, We appreciate all of your support and patience as we continue to work through rising COVID cases in our community and across the country. Please refer to the communication sent from RCSD on January 18th with updated quarantine guidelines and reach out to us with any questions you have at this time. Our goal is to continue to keep our students in school, safe, and healthy. Thank you for your patience and support. Today we celebrated our 100th day of school in the 2021-22 school year and 1000th day of school for our 5th grade students!  Make sure to take time and celebrate all of their learning progress this year.  Villages We have a Village Rally coming up this week. Hello Trailblazer Families,  A reminder that there is no school Monday, January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr day. Students will return to campus on January 18th. Please make sure to read through communication delivered through the Roseville City School District as our procedures and protocols related to COVID-19 continue to be updated and reviewed as we work hard to keep students in school, safe and healthy. Hello Trailblazer Families,  We hope you had a wonderful holiday break and are staying healthy and safe. It was great having students back with us in classrooms. A message was sent from RCSD this week regarding rapid tests available for students. Please see the message below. The pick up dates and times for Diamond Creek will be January 11th and 12th from 7:30-4:00. We are able to provide one testing kit per Diamond Creek student. RCSD Message sent on January 4th, 2022: In an effort to reduce COVID-19 transmission in schools as the Omicron variant surges nationwide, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is making at-home COVID-19 testing kits available for free to local families. RCSD has received a supply of antigen tests available for pick up and voluntary use as an added precaution for the community. RCSD has been given enough tests for each student to receive at least one test. Please note the following:  RCSD is providing these tests simply to increase community
