Week of December 6-10

 Hello Trailblazer Families, 

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving break and remained healthy and well throughout the break. Thank you for continuing to be mindful of our COVID procedures and keeping students at home if they are not feeling well or you are awaiting a COVID test. This helps us keep more students and staff safe and healthy and in school.

Villages
We had a Village meeting this past week where we reviewed and practiced Habit #3: Make Priorities Matter. Students reviewed and practiced our focus essential: Stand Up for What You Believe In. Classrooms had discussions about the appropriate way to stand up for ourselves and what this may look like and sound like. Students were also given scenarios and asked to decide if the situation is one that you'd need to use this essential and what that may look like.

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too!

Diamond Creek Toy Drive: HAPPENING NOW!!!

We know that this has been a strange and challenging year for many.  That makes this time of year even more important.  We, here at Diamond Creek Elementary, have been so grateful to participate in a toy drive to support the Roseville Police Department for the last 16 years.  We plan to run our drive again this year from December 1st - 15th.  Please CLICK HERE to view our flyer with all of the details.

It's cold outside and the holidays are approaching! Please help us make this teacher & staff luncheon a warm and yummy one. Our Holiday Teacher Luncheon is on Monday, December 13th. Garcia Family News
The Garcia family is excited to announce that the grand finale of the family will be joining us June 2022. Riley, Rocco and Sloan are very excited about their new promotions to Big Brother and Sister (AGAIN) and Sloan is thrilled to become a Big Sister.

Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!

What's Coming Up This Week? August 21-25 Welcome to the 2017-18 school year and to our Diamond Creek school blog! This blog will be updated and included in a messenger to parents every Friday.  Please read our blog for important information and upcoming dates. Our staff have been hard at work this week preparing for an awesome first day of school for your child.  We hope you enjoyed meeting your child's teacher at TK/K orientation or at the ice cream social.  Thank you to our PTC for providing ice cream for our families.  The first two days of school were a true success! As I walked through the classrooms, students were smiling, laughing and enjoying their time with friends and their teachers.  Thank you for helping us kick off a great school year!  We hope your child felt like a rock star on the first day and was excited to come back for Day #2! Week of September 7-11

WEEKLY NEWS We had an exciting week at Diamond Creek with our Special Sorting Day Zoom Rally for our TK/Kinder and all new students to Diamond Creek!! Over 110 students found out their Village on Wednesday morning!  Then we kicked off our Villages on Thursday with an all school rally which was completed in individual classrooms via Zoom.  Linked below are the 7 Habits we discuss at Diamond Creek. Over the school year, we will spend time each month reviewing one of the 7 Habits along with the essentials that align with each Habit.  Habit #1: I'm in Charge of Me will be our focus in two weeks!  Feel free to print and use these posters at home as well.
