Week of January 17-21

Hello Trailblazer Families, 

A reminder that there is no school Monday, January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr day. Students will return to campus on January 18th. Please make sure to read through communication delivered through the Roseville City School District as our procedures and protocols related to COVID-19 continue to be updated and reviewed as we work hard to keep students in school, safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued support throughout these challenging times.

Villages
We had a Village meeting this past week. Students reviewed Habit #4: I am Mindful of Others. The essential we are continuing to focus on is Greet Visitors and Make Them Feel Welcome. In our Village meeting we discussed safe ways of greeting others through contact and non-contact greetings. Students also learned ways to greet each other in a variety of languages.

Our students have been practicing their Village chants and we wanted to share these with you as well! HERE are the chants if you'd like to practice at home too! 

Girls on the Run - Attention ALL 3rd-5th grade girls at Diamond Creek:
We are so excited to bring back Girls on the Run to Diamond Creek this school year! Please read through the attached flyer which shares all of the important details and dates for Girls on the Run.  The season begins the week of February 28th and our Diamond Creek practices will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 at Diamond Creek. Registration begins live on February 1st through www.gotrsac.org.   There are limited spaces available, so please mark your calendars if you are interested in enrolling!

 Registration for our 2022-23 school year will be opening for priority registration beginning on Monday, January 3, 2022, and will close on Friday, January 28, 2022. This registration will be for all new and returning students, including those individuals seeking an inter or intra-district transfer and those wanting to enroll their student(s) into the Roseville Virtual Academy. Please be on the lookout for an email from the district with a link to our online registration process no later than January 2, 2022. 

 

Please note the following schools have been closed to transfers for the 2022-23 school year due to growth, projected growth, and overflow challenges as new homes are occupied.

  • Chilton Middle School
  • Junction Elementary
  • Orchard Ranch Elementary
  • Riego Creek Elementary
  • Fiddyment Farm Elementary
  • Diamond Creek Elementary
  • Blue Oaks Elementary

No new intradistrict or interdistrict transfer will be accepted in the schools listed above. Siblings of students currently attending in 2021-22, and will continue to attend one of the above schools during the 2022-23 school year, may request a transfer during the priority window and will be considered on a space-available basis.

FOR CURRENT 5TH GRADE STUDENTS ONLY - Placement of 6th-grade students is based on your address and not the school your student is currently attending. Use the link provided here to be shown your students currently assigned Middle School for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.

As a reminder, all students, even those who are returning back to their same school MUST complete the online registration process. Your attention to this is greatly appreciated and helps RCSD know how to best prepare to meet and accommodate all our students' needs. We hope you have a wonderful Winter Break

Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!

What's Coming Up This Week? August 21-25 Welcome to the 2017-18 school year and to our Diamond Creek school blog! This blog will be updated and included in a messenger to parents every Friday.  Please read our blog for important information and upcoming dates. Our staff have been hard at work this week preparing for an awesome first day of school for your child.  We hope you enjoyed meeting your child's teacher at TK/K orientation or at the ice cream social.  Thank you to our PTC for providing ice cream for our families.  The first two days of school were a true success! Hello Trailblazer Families,  We have such exciting news to share this week!! Our AMAZING students, families and PTC worked together to raise over $44,000 for our students at Diamond Creek! WOW!! That is a new record for us at our Walk-a-Thon. We appreciate all of your support with this amazing fundraiser for our students. Thank you to our WAT chairs and PTC for helping us host this special event! We have a Village Rally coming up on Wednesday. Our students will be kicking off Habit #2: Know Before You Do. Students are encouraged to wear their Village T-shirt or color!
