Week of March 9-13

Monday was READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY! We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with reading happening EVERYWHERE! Students were engaged in reading all across Diamond Creek. It was a day to remember!

This week we had our Village Meeting.  We reviewed Habit #5: Listen and Learn and discussed the importance of listening with our body language and our ears so that we are fully engaged with each other and in our daily activities.  We talked about answering questions with eye contact when they are asked of us, but also responding with a question in return. Students played a fun game in which they had to listen with their ears, eyes and hearts.
