Week of May 22-26

What's Coming Up This Week? May 22-26
Congratulations to our Girls on the Run team who competed in their 5k last weekend! The whole morning was a success.  The girls were 100% supportive of each other, cheering each other on and running together. It was a delight to see all of our girls running with a friend or family member throughout the race.  We are excited to bring Girls on the Run back to Diamond Creek next year.

A few of my highlights this week involved some 3 on 2 basketball games at recess.  Mr. Carlos and I were challenged to play three 4th grade students and then three 5th grade students in basketball.  Some tough competition throughout those games, but smiles, high fives and lots of fun definitely made it a highlight for me.  You'll have to ask your students who won each game or look for it in the next student news!

Our 4th grade Gold Rush plays were amazing as well! Hats off to all of our 4th grade students and teachers.  Many hours of practice and hard work went in to making those plays so wonderful.

We will finish up all CAASPP testing this week with our 3rd through 5th grade students.
