October 31-November 4, 2022

 Happy Friday Trailblazer families,

Well, we’ve reached the end of another month and I can’t believe October has come and gone!  It was jam-packed with so many wonderful learning experiences and some incredible family fun too!  Today we had our Village Rally led by our Tawalihape Village.  Our Habit focus was Know Before You Do which again falls under our LEAD letter of A for being Accountable.  Today we talked about who we can go to for help when we have a problem and don’t know how to solve it.  Thank you to our Tawalihape Village leads for putting together such an entertaining and informative Rally!

Don’t Forget-NO SCHOOL on October 31st and November 1st

Just a quick reminder, our students do not have school on Monday, Oct. 31st or Tuesday, Nov. 1st. Our staff will be participating in Staff Development on those days.  We look forward to the students returning on Wednesday, November 2nd.

ROCK YOUR SCHOOL IS COMING

At the end of today’s rally our fabulous DC staff did a special dance to promote next week’s Rock Your School events. Thursday, November 3rd, will be Dress Like a Rockstar Day and Friday, November 4th, will be a Village Meeting day, so wear your Village Shirts that day.   We have some fun activities planned for our students to participate in with their classes on Thursday and Friday!

PARKING LOT REMINDERS

Please see image below for some safety tips on Drop Off and Pick Up in the Bus Loop.

When you are waiting on Hopscotch to drop off or pick up, please make sure to wait patiently.  We have had quite a few reports of cars going around the line and driving on the left side of the road to pull into the parking lot or drive through the cone area.  This is a big safety concern for our families crossing in the crosswalks.  Thank you everyone for your continued efforts to help keep our kids safe at Diamond Creek.

NOVEMBER EVENTS

See below for updates from the PTC with upcoming events for November.  I did want to let everyone know that due to the time of year, the changes to our weather, and limited capacity in our Multipurpose Room we are not going to have our GLOW dance next month.  We still plan to have our VIP and ME dance events in the Spring when we can hold them outdoors and capacity will not be an issue.  I apologize for this change, but we wanted to make sure that we would not have to turn anyone away from an event due to limited space in our Multipurpose Room.  We still will have our Family Skate Night on Wednesday, November 9th!  I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there!

PTC GENERAL MEETING:  Save the Date – Tuesday, November 8 at 7:00pm.  All caregivers are welcomed to participate to learn what the PTC is working on for the school, about what events are coming up and how you can get involved.

SAFE ROUTES: If your student would like to participate in Safe Routes, meet us Thursday mornings at either the front main gate or side gate to get a shoe tag. Then go to Active4.me to register their tag so you can get notifications with your student on campus.  Each week, students that participate get entered to win a prize.
