Week of August 23-27
Hello Trailblazer Families,
Our students are off and learning! As I was in classrooms this week, students are diving into their Math and ELA routines and building amazing classroom communities. We are so happy to have our students back in our classrooms and learning with us all day.
Thank you to all of our parents who attended our first PTC meeting of the year. A huge thank you to our PTC board members who are putting in their time to build events and opportunities for our students and families. We appreciate you! If you have interest in joining our PTC board, please see the area below for open PTC positions.
A reminder that each Monday is a Minimum Day. Students in Grades 1-5 are dismissed at 2:05.
Dogs on Campus
For the safety of our students and families, we ask that dogs remain off of campus during school hours. Thank you
Girls on the Run
We are excited to announce that we will have Girls on the Run back at DC this year. Girls on the Run is available to all of our girls in Grades 3-5. Girls on the Run is a program created to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event. We can't wait for our girls to experience this team again this year! We looking for two coaches to help us with Girls on the Run this year. Please email Mrs. Garcia if you are interested in learning more.
