Week of August 10-14

Hello Diamond Creek Families! Our staff have all been hard at work this week learning our new learning management system, Otus, preparing materials and planning ways to connect with your students this week.  Our goal these first two weeks is to begin building relationships with your students and building class cultures.  We know there will be many things we have to work through this week and the weeks to come.  Our staff are committed to your students and we ask that the partnership begins right away as we are all in this together!

Back to School Night (Virtual)

August 7th - Virtual Back to School Night.  At 4:00 PM a Welcome Video will be posted in your child's classroom on OTUS.  This video will be from the classroom teacher sharing information to begin the school year.

Student Schedules
Teachers will be posting class schedules into Otus so that you are able to see when live lessons are happening throughout the day.  Schedules align with our regular bell schedule from 8:55-3:15 for 1st through 5th grade students, 8:30-1:30 for Kindergarten and 8:30-11:30 for TK. Students will also have PE and Music during their regularly scheduled time if they were on site.   If your child is ill and cannot log in throughout the day to attend the learning sessions and complete the work, please call our front office to report them absent.

Chromebook & Materials Distribution Days
Please click HERE for our materials distribution schedule. We will be distributing materials to students on these dates for Distance Learning. If the date/time does not work for your schedule, please feel free to come at a time that is better for you on the 10th or 11th.

We are asking that children stay at home for our materials distribution. Please follow all safety precautions by wearing masks and social distancing.  Thank you for your help keeping everyone safe and healthy.

Diamond Creek teachers will be teaching LIVE lessons daily and this creates a need for all students to have access to a Chromebook/Laptop digital device. We are encouraging families to check-out a Chromebook to every Diamond Creek student in the household. This will support access to the daily schedule as grade-levels/classes differ and support one to one device support upon our return to school. If your family has a Chromebook at home that you have purchased for distance learning in the Spring you are more than welcome to use it. If at any time it becomes difficult to log into our digital platform please contact our school office and we will ensure that you have access to the appropriate device to maximize your child’s success in Distance Learning.
