Updates from our week at Diamond Creek
We had an exciting week at Diamond Creek kicking off with the Solar Eclipse on Monday.  Thank you for all of your support at home reenforcing student safety and responsibility throughout this day. It was an amazing experience for our students.  I enjoyed walking through the classrooms to listen to a variety of lessons about the solar eclipse.  Watching the students view the eclipse and hearing  them be amazed was priceless.  Thank you for your support!

School Safety
All visitors must sign in at our front office before walking on to our campus.  Students should be dropped off in the bus loop or at the gates in the morning.  Any visitor who needs to walk back to a classroom or to the playground area will need to sign in before entering.

Please make sure your child has an "after school" plan each day to either get picked up , walk or bike home.  We do not allow students to call their parents to change this plan throughout the day to go home with a friend.  If you have a child that comes to your house after school and that was not the plan, please contact the other parent. We want to make sure that all of our students are getting home safely each night.

Diamond Creek Choir
Diamond Creek Elementary School will be offering a Before-School Choral Ensemble for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students again this year! Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Friday mornings in the Multipurpose Room from 8:00-8:45 beginning September 5.

If your child would like to participate in this choral opportunity, they can pick up a Registration Packet from Mrs. Dahl's classroom or the front office after August 29. There will be an optional Parent Informational Meeting on Tuesday, August 29 at 3:15 pm in Room 25. At this meeting, Mrs. Dahl can answer any questions you may have and will give you a description of what the year will look like for our choir.

W.A.T.C.H. Dogs
We are excited to bring W.A.T.C.H. Dogs to Diamond Creek this school year! W.A.T.C.H. Dogs is a school based program that works to get fathers involved in our schools to help support education and school safety.  We are looking for any fathers who are interested in helping lead this group by being one of our "Top Dogs".  We would love to have a group of five to six dads help kick this program off for us by helping with our Pizza Night kick of on Tuesday, September 26th at 6:00 PM.  Please email Mrs. Garcia if you are interested in hearing more about being a Top Dog!

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
All of our 3rd through 5th grade students will have the opportunity to bring their own device to Diamond Creek this year.  We had three classrooms last spring that piloted this for us as our district is now a BYOD district.  You can visit the links below for more information from our district.  We will have more logistical information to share soon.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is an initiative that enables students of the Roseville City School District to bring their own device from home to enhance their educational experience. This initiative allows for more of our students in the district to have a device to use during classroom instruction.

CBET Classes
